Chicago delights every time!

The best thing about Chicago is that it's one of the most dynamic cities in the world. The city is all about dynamic energy.

This weekend was not only the time for the Lollapalooza Music festival but also the Gold Coast River North Art Fair.  There are truly a lot of very talented artists and photographers in Chicago!

During the course of the weekend, family members and I enjoyed the following affordable eateries (not fancy, just good food and character):

  • Billy Goat Tavern on lower Michigan Avenue, just north of the river. The legendary tavern still serves up "cheezborgers" the way John Belushi immortalized on Saturday Night Live.

  • Dick's Last Resort on E. Illinois & McClurg Court. Due to move soon, you can still enjoy this location's energy, fun and good food. Ladies, bive the bartender your bra, and you'll get a free drink! Great beer is the beverage of the choice. Try any of the available micro-brews.

Didn't have time to rave about Portillo's for the best Italian beef or Taco Palace #2 this time. Will rave on soon...

Way to go, Chicago!
