Wine Notebook, Part 44 (June 22, 2008)    by the Wine Baron

The gals and I stopped in at the Niagara Fallsview Casino this afternoon. We didn't wrestle with the armed bandits but we enjoyed window shopping the boutiques and strolling along the park like setting behind the facility. Great views of the falls from up there.

Then on to Port Dalhousie to stroll beside the yacht slips and have a beer and pub munchies at our favourite establishment herre, Kilt & Clover, an Irish-Scottish style pub with good beer and fine food.  The french fries are excellent. All of the pub style food we've tried over time is tasty and fresh. Service is attentive and friendly.  Lovely Erin looked after us today. She deserved a great tip.

The beer of choice this afternoon was NickelBrook. A gorgeous micro-brew from Burlington. The pub has a different theme each day of the week. On Wednesdays they have an incredible deal on wings.

Live music is to be enjoyed several nights a week...

We finished with deep fried Mars Bar. Got to be tried!
