"OUR FAVOURITE RESTAURANTS"

Theoretically, what's not to like. This place has an upscale look and impeccable service.  It's on top of a very tall building with a striking view.  And In practice, it all does indeed come together.  The food and wine list are among the best in the world.  I was comparing notes with International wine expert Zoltan Szabo about this just the other day and he agrees.

Will Predhomme is the sommelier at Canoe. I tasted some wines with him recently and it was clear that he has a discerning wine appreciation.

A glance at the wine list confirms this fact. Very nice list!

Will achieved 3rd place in the Professional Round of the Wine Tasting Challenge, Canada's Premier Wine Competition. The results were just released late December '09.  He was up against 250 competitors.

Executive Chef, Anthony Walsh, is dedicated to sourcing local foods of highest quality. His talent and creativity have earned accolades, including 2 Gold Medals in competition.

Canoe is part of the incredibly successful group of Oliver & Bonacini Restaurants.  Headed by Peter Oliver and Michael Bonacini, the entire organization has the same winning formula that Canoe illustrates so well.

While at Canoe, I enjoyed some world-class VQA wines, and noticed that I could have been pleased with a wine from virtually anywhere in the world.  They have top honours from Wine Spectator.

The lunch and dinner menus are imaginative and delicious.  Great selection too.  To start, I recommend the Applewood Smoked Duck Breast with spiced walnuts, lingonberries and Kozlick's mustard.  My choices for main dish are any of the tender steaks or one of the featured fresh seafood creations!  Bon Appetit.

Amazing ambience, food, wine, service & view.

For the highpoint of a visit to Toronto,
I wholeheartedly recommend Canoe Restaurant.
