Ronnie Baker Brooks makes his own personal blues statement these days after having performed with his Dad, blues legend Lonnie Brooks for 12 years.

Ronnie brings his audience authentic blues with some funk, rock and a lot of soul thrown in for good measure. We highly recommend you check out his performaces and recordings.

Ronnie performs in the Chicago area as well as in other parts of the US and Europe. He recently returned from performances at the blues festival in Lugano, Switzerland.

I first saw him perform at the Chicago Blues Festival in June 2000. Among the many stages that day, we were drawn to the one emanating smokin' hot blues guitar. We were soon to realize this electric performance was by Ronnie Baker Brooks. I actually called a few people and held up my cell phone for a few moments for them to hear my new discovery!

On Sept. 15, 2000, we went to see RBB in a night venue - Famous Dave's on Clark St. in Chicago. Again, we were witness to a performance to be remembered. From newer numbers to songs from his debut solo album, Goldigger, the honesty and truth burst forth, song after song. Witness "Take Me Wit-Cha" sometime!  In addition the driving guitar licks rang out with an urgency and fluency that elicited in the listeners a sense that they are in the presence of a new-generation blues master.

We were pleased to see RBB again at the Chicago Blues Festival 2001 and 2002; at a North Side Blues Fest summer of 2003 and at Healy's in Toronto Spring 2006.  We are happy to say that he gets more engaging and masterful
every time we see him.
