Pairing food & wine

Ontario has a climate similar to the great wine regions of Germany and France.

The 2 most popular wine regions are Niagara Peninsula and Lake Erie North Shore and Pelee Island.

Niagara has been in the spotlight for some time and sports some fine wineries. Our editors really enjoy the wines of Calamus Estate Winery, Peninsula Ridge, Kacaba Vineyards and Hidden Bench Winery. A visit to each of these while visiting Niagara is a treat.

We're particularly excited about what's going on in Lake Erie North Shore. This wine region sports a climate with more "heat units" than anywhere else in Ontario, giving the wines a level of quality not easily found in other areas.  It's an easy place to get to and a charm once you get there. Not only wineries entice, but also the relaxed rural setting and the history.  Join us as we visit 3 wineries in the area.
